Yetis Freeze Out Just the Tip in Fast-Paced Game!

On the evening of October 29, 2025, the Yetis showed their prowess in a fast-paced, action-packed game against Just the Tip at BHi Brantford 1. The Yetis, proving to be unstoppable, secured a thrilling victory in the first game of the best 2 out of 3 Elimination Series.

The first period opened with a sterling performance by the Yetis, with Geoff Kitchen leading the charge. Kitchen showcased his offensive skills with the first two goals of the game, demonstrating a dynamite partnership with Jason Gates and Scott Josey. The Yeti’s Chris Hague and Ian Blasdell weren’t far behind, adding more goals to the tally, with Gates once again proving invaluable with his assists.

In the second period, the Yetis continued their scoring streak with Kitchen, Hague, and Blasdell all finding the back of the net. However, Jon Gerrard of Just the Tip managed to sneak one past the Yeti’s defense, assisted by Ben Filer and Jacob Gerrard, giving their team the much-needed boost.

The third period saw more of the same, with Kitchen bringing his goal total to five for the night. Brett Bowman of Just the Tip responded with his own hat-trick, but it wasn’t enough to catch up with the Yetis. The match ended with a final flurry of goals from Jason Gates, aided by Kitchen, solidifying the Yeti’s dominance on the field.

The only penalty of the night was given to the Yeti’s Scott Josey in the first period, but it did little to dampen their spirits or slow down their scoring frenzy.

There was no doubt about the stars of the game, with Geoff Kitchen, Jason Gates, and Ian Blasdell of the Yetis stealing the show with their impressive scoring and assisting performances. As the whistle blew, it was clear that the Yetis had given their all to take the win in this exciting elimination series opener.
