On the bright morning of September 20, 2025, fans were treated to a ball hockey showdown to remember between the Mustangs and the Grizzlies at the BHi Brantford 2. The intense match was a roller-coaster ride, full of heart-stopping moments, and ended with a glorious victory for the Mustangs.
The first period saw Lincoln Cornell of the Mustangs displaying an impressive performance, scoring two quick goals in under a minute. However, the Grizzlies bounced back in the second period with Rhys MacDonald showing his skills and netting two goals. The assist by William Evans to MacDonald’s second goal was a sight to behold. Lucas Rocha and Lincoln Cornell didn’t let the Mustangs down, scoring a goal each to keep the excitement level high.
Into the third period, it was a seesaw battle. Lucas Rocha scored his second goal of the match, assisted by Lincoln Cornell and Jackson Renneberg. Jace Lesky from the Grizzlies responded with a goal, assisted by William Evans and Rhys MacDonald. But the Mustangs wouldn’t be denied. Jackson Renneberg and Tyson Gee each found the net, sealing the deal for the Mustangs.
Some noticeable penalties of the game included those by Kieran Zacher of the Mustangs and Rhys MacDonald of the Grizzlies, who was penalized twice in the third period.
