The evening of November 21, 2025 was alive with excitement at the BHi Brantford 2 venue. The Trash Pandas faced off against the Jokers in a thrilling semi-final clash. The Pandas came out on top with a scintillating performance, outscoring the Jokers in a game that had fans on the edge of their seats.
The first period saw Will VanNieuwenhuizen of the Trash Pandas score an even-strength goal, assisted by Kyle Boutilier, setting the tone for the rest of the game. The first period also saw Angie Montour of the Jokers serving a 2-minute penalty, adding a twist to the early stages of the game.
The second period continued to be eventful with John Pongracz of the Trash Pandas scoring a stunning goal, assisted by Brittany Fazekas and Raine Hernden. The Jokers couldn’t escape penalties in the second period either, with Zach Hill taking a 2-minute penalty.
The third period was a nail-biter, with both teams scoring goals. The Pandas saw Kyle Boutilier finding the back of the net with an assist from Amanda Barnett. However, the Jokers made a valiant attempt with Mike Montour scoring a goal assisted by Lucas Johnston, but it wasn’t enough to take the win.
The game ended with the Trash Pandas emerging victorious and moving onto the next stage. The final score stood at 3-1 in favour of the Pandas, who saw 29 shots on goal, in contrast to the Jokers’ 24 shots. The star player of the match was undoubtedly Will VanNieuwenhuizen, who got the Pandas off to a great start with his early goal.
