OPP Outclasses Cherry Blasters in Semi-finals Thriller!

What a fantastic showdown it was on the evening of November 21, 2025! The semi-finals of the youth ball hockey league season witnessed an electrifying face-off between the OPP and the Cherry Blasters at the BHi Brantford 1 venue. As the intense match concluded, it was the OPP that emerged victorious, showcasing their supreme skills throughout the enthralling encounter.

The game started off balanced with both teams showcasing their defensive prowess. However, the scales tipped in favor of the OPP in the second period. Angelina Beal, with an assist from Trevor Martin, broke the deadlock, scoring the first goal of the match. Soon after, Brock Staley, helped by Martin and Kaleb Fecteau, doubled the lead for the OPP.

The third period saw the OPP maintaining their domination. Tiago Alves further extended the lead, with assists from Christine Winters and Brock Staley. Finally, Trevor Martin, assisted by Winters, sealed the deal with the fourth goal for the OPP.

Meanwhile, the Cherry Blasters faced some discipline issues, with two penalties coming their way in the second period. Brendan Macleod was penalized for tripping while another un-named player was penalised for interference.

OPP’s victory is a testament to the strategic game they played, keeping their composure and striking at the right moments. Their well-coordinated play reflects in the fact that they managed to attempt twice as many shots as the Cherry Blasters, 32 against Cherry Blasters’ 16 attempts. The stars of the match were undoubtedly Angelina Beal, Brock Staley, and Trevor Martin, who played significant roles in leading their team to this resounding victory.
