On the night of November 21, 2025, the BHi Brantford was electric with excitement. Two rival teams, The Last Resorts and OPP, clashed in a heart-stopping championship ball hockey game. The final score? A triumphant victory for The Last Resorts.
The game kicked off with OPP making the first move, as Tom Stright scored an even-strength goal just under five minutes into the first period. However, the Last Resorts weren’t about to be left behind. Joran Goddard, assisted by Ryan Johnson, answered back with a goal of his own in the second period.
The third period was where the Last Resorts started their victory lap. Sass Powless, with an assist from Joran Goddard and Alanna Powless, scored the go-ahead goal. But they weren’t done yet. Joran Goddard, already having a stellar game, found the back of the net once again, securing a two-goal lead for his team and ultimately, the victory.
The game wasn’t short of drama as the puck flew back and forth. Both teams played aggressively, with the referees handing out penalties to Tiago Alves (OPP), Courtney Kerr (The Last Resorts), and Shelby Laughlin (OPP) for various infringements.
In the final tally, the Last Resorts had taken 18 shots on goal, while OPP had 23. It was an energetic and thrilling game, with The Last Resorts proving to be the dominant team. Congratulations to the Last Resorts on their championship win!
