Thrilling Comeback Win for The Rocks Over Assassins in Ball Hockey Showdown

In an exhilarating evening of youth ball hockey on November 3, 2025, The Rocks showed outstanding resolve to seal a comeback victory against the Assassins. In a thrilling game under the lights at BHi Brantford 2, The Rocks turned the tables on their opponents after initially being on the back foot.

In the first period, the Assassins burst into the lead with two quick-fire goals. Ryan Brown opened the scoring for the Assassins, with a fine assist from Terry Beckham. Not long after, Jaxson Leween, with assistance from Brown and Lelan Morgenschweis, doubled the lead for the Assassins. However, the resilient Rocks were not down for long. Seth Verrips got a goal back to make the score 2-1 going into the first break.

The second period was all about The Rocks’ comeback. Kyle Vachon, with an assist from Verrips, scored the equalizer. Then, Evgeny Myshkin, assisted by Chris Scott and Verrips, scored the go-ahead goal for The Rocks. Despite a few penalties on both sides, including a two-minute penalty for Chris Scott of The Rocks and a ten-minute penalty for Terry Morgenschweis of the Assassins, The Rocks held their lead.

The third period saw no further goals but plenty of drama, including a two-minute penalty for Josh Miller of The Rocks, who was later sent off for a ten-minute penalty. However, The Rocks stood firm and navigated their way to a thrilling victory, demonstrating superb sportsmanship and teamwork. Their never-give-up attitude was a great example for all the young spectators watching.

In the end, The Rocks took the day with a final score of 3-2, leaving the Assassins and their fans stunned. A big shout-out to referees Tom Picone and Dave Dean and TimeKeeper Connor Maclean for overseeing this thrilling encounter. Can’t wait for the next game!
