It was a thrilling night of ball hockey at the BHi Brantford 2 venue on September 15, 2025, as the Hornets stung The Rocks in a nail-biting overtime victory.
The game got off to a roaring start in the first period as The Rocks’ Evgeny Myshkin netted the first goal with an assist from Mark Butler. Chris Scott, assisted by Mark Butler and Evgeny Myshkin, pulled another one in for The Rocks, doubling their lead.
However, the Hornets refused to be left behind. They staged an incredible comeback starting from the second period, initiated by a goal from Default Player, followed by another goal in the third period scored by the impressive Zack Mackinnon.
The game took an exciting turn when it moved into overtime after a 2-2 deadlock at the end of the third period. It was then that Default Player of the Hornets managed to secure the decisive goal that resulted in a 3-2 victory for the Hornets over The Rocks.
While there were impressive plays from both teams, the evening was not without drama. Zack Mackinnon of the Hornets found himself in the penalty box for a two-minute tripping infraction in the second period.
The game ended with the Hornets rejoicing their hard-fought victory. The top performers of the night were Evgeny Myshkin from The Rocks, and Zack Mackinnon and Default Player from the Hornets. Their exceptional performances kept the spectators at the edge of their seats throughout the game.
