Yetis Ice the Spare Parts in Thrilling Ball Hockey Showdown

On a beautiful Sunday afternoon, September 21, 2025, fans at BHi Brantford 2 were treated to an exciting game of ball hockey that showcased the best of youth sports. The home team Yetis took on the visiting Spare Parts in a match-up that was full of thrilling plays and spectacular goals.

The game started with a bang as Nik Tesone of the Yetis found the back of the net just 8 minutes into the first period. Spare Parts answered back quickly with a goal of their own scored by Sissy Penzvalto. However, the Yetis’ Ian Blasdell stole the show with two more goals in the first period and another in the third, emerging as a true star on the field.

The Spare Parts fought hard, with spectacular play from Mat Cain who scored a hatrick, but in the end, it was the Yetis who came out on top, thanks to Geoff Kitchenโ€™s brilliant hat trick in the second period.

The final score was an impressive tally of 7-4 in favor of the Yetis, despite the Spare Parts outshooting the Yetis 17 to 16. Both teams showcased brilliant skills and sportsmanship throughout the game.

A big shoutout goes to the referees Jacob Gerrard and Jaymz Easton, and TimeKeeper Olivia Gairns, who made sure the game ran smoothly. But the day belonged to the Yetis and their star players, Ian Blasdell and Geoff Kitchen.
