The crowd was buzzing with anticipation at the BHi Brantford 1 on September 22, 2025. The Assassins and Hornets put on a show that will not be soon forgotten. The night was full of fast-paced action as the Hornets managed to outscore the Assassins and emerge as the victors.
The game kicked off with an explosive start. The Hornets’ ‘Default Player’ found the back of the net within the first 10 minutes, setting the pace for the rest of the game. The goal was followed by an impressive solo effort by Zack Mackinnon, who extended the Hornets’ lead. With less than two minutes into the game, ‘Default Player’ did it once more, this time with an assist from Trevor Martin.
The Assassins were not to be outdone. Reign Pratt, assisted by Jaxson Leween and Tag Vornbrock, slipped one past the Hornets’ goalie. However, the celebration was short-lived as the Hornets’ Dennis Vanevery, assisted by Trevor Martin, scored another goal for his team.
Not all the action was centered around the goals, though. The game saw a total of three penalties, including a hefty 10-minute penalty awarded to the Hornets’ Nathan Tompkins and the Assassins’ Jaxson Leween who was handed a 4 minute penalty for his unsportsmanlike conduct.
Despite the impressive effort from both teams, the Hornets proved to be the stronger team on this night. With a total of 22 shots compared to the Assassins’ 14, the Hornets outplayed their competitors and secured the victory. Can’t wait to see what’s next for these two teams in the season ahead!
