On the crisp afternoon of October 16, 2025, a gripping game of ball hockey unfolded at BHi Brantford 1 between the mighty Titans and the resilient Crusaders.
The Titans, playing with home advantage, opened the scoring in the first period with a beautifully coordinated goal from Luca Ligori, assisted by Oscar Bell. They maintained their lead into the second period when Zane Rook, assisted by Nolan Bevan and Tripp Balaga, increased their advantage to two.
Despite being down 2-0, the Crusaders remained undeterred. In the third period, they launched an incredible comeback with Grayson Young finding the back of the net, thanks to a splendid assist from Carter MacDonald. Moments later, the duo switched roles and MacDonald, assisted by Young and Liam Torelli, evened the scoring.
With both teams showing no signs of backing down, the match proceeded into an intense shootout. Carter MacDonald of the Crusaders emerged as the hero of the day, scoring the decisive goal to seal a remarkable 3-2 shootout victory for the Crusaders.
It was indeed a thrilling game filled with fantastic teamwork, remarkable goals and lots of exciting moments. The Crusaders’ comeback underscores the importance of tenacity in sports, reminding us all never to give up until the final whistle blows.
