Thrilling Shootout Sees Bisons Stampede Past Huskies!

Saturday, October 4th, 2025, will forever be marked as an unforgettable day in ball hockey, as the Bisons triumphed over the Huskies in an adrenaline-pumping showdown at BHi Brantford 1. The final score? It was a nail-biting 7-6 in favour of the Bisons after a heart-stopping shootout!

The game started with rapid-fire goals from both teams. Emmett Parry of the Bisons drew first blood, only for Denver Boyd of the Huskies to swiftly equalize with a little help from Ella Jackson and Jaze Foster-Clarkson. The Bisons’ Jack Lawson then struck back, ending the first period at 2-1.

The second period was a whirlwind as the teams traded blows. Denver Boyd tied the game for Huskies, but Jack Lawson, assisted by Logan Neto, ensured the Bisons didn’t fall behind. Sully Shelley and River Sims piled on more goals for the Huskies, but the Bisons’ Jack Lawson and Emmett Parry refused to back down, scoring two more goals to keep the game evenly poised.

The third period saw more of this back-and-forth action. Mason Russell managed to score for the Bisons, but not before River Sims had put the Huskies ahead once more. The game ended 6-6 in regulation time, setting the stage for a heart-stopping shootout.

Mason Russell emerged as the hero of the day, scoring the decisive goal in the shootout, sealing the victory for the Bisons. A game full of twists, turns, and electrifying plays came to a thrilling close, reminding us all why we love this sport!
