The thrilling ball hockey face-off between the Mighty Turtles and the Spare Parts took place on October 9th, 2025 at the BHi Brantford 1. The Spare Parts clinched an intense overtime victory against the Mighty Turtles, leaving the spectators at the edge of their seats till the very last second.
The Mighty Turtles struck first, with Scott General scoring a goal assisted by Ashton VanEvery with 7 minutes and 38 seconds remaining in the first period. Undeterred, the Spare Parts equalized within two minutes, courtesy of Emili Cain with assists from Andrew Patla and Brandon Cain. Not one to back down, Scott General of the Mighty Turtles scored another goal, taking the lead once again. However, Hunter Cain from the Spare Parts scored right at the buzzer, ending the first period in a deadlock.
The second period started with high energy. Alex Ward of the Spare Parts scored a goal with Andrew Patla and Brandon Cain providing assists. As the clock wound down, an unidentified player from the Mighty Turtles, known only as K, scored a goal to equalize the game once again.
The game was pushed into overtime after both teams failed to score during the remainder of the regular time. The Spare Parts, however, had the last laugh. Ryan Cain, with assists from Brandon Cain and Hunter Cain, scored the winning goal, sealing the victory for the Spare Parts.
Despite being outshot 19 to 9, the Mighty Turtles put up a commendable performance against the Spare Parts. Ultimately, the Spare Parts emerged as the winners in this adrenaline-pumping overtime game. With this victory, the Spare Parts have proven their mettle and are looking forward to their next game with renewed vigor!
