Thrilling Face-Off: Phatletes Clinch Epic Victory Against Yetis

On October 5, 2025, the Phatletes and Yetis brought their A-game to BHi Brantford 2, delivering a ball hockey match that was nothing short of exhilarating. The Phatletes emerged victorious, but the Yetis proved themselves to be formidable opponents.

The game started off strong with a brilliant goal by Justen Pettipas of the Phatletes, assisted ably by Tyler Carnahan. The Yetis bounced back in the second period, with Jason Gates and Dwayne MacDougall scoring goals, demonstrating their team’s resilience and determination.

However, the Phatletes refused to give up ground. Josh Cummings, Carter Lockyer, and Sunny Buttar scored a goal each in the third period, bringing the Phatletes back into the lead. Notably, Lockyer’s goal was a solo effort, an incredible show of talent.

The Yetis fought back valiantly, with Dwayne MacDougall and Geoff Kitchen adding to their team’s score. MacDougall’s goal was his second of the game, assisted by Ian Blasdell and Jason Gates.

Despite the Yetis’ best efforts, the Phatletes sealed their victory in the final period with a decisive goal by Tyler Carnahan, once again assisted by Justen Pettipas.

The match wasn’t all smooth sailing, with penalties handed out to both teams. Sunny Buttar and Justen Pettipas of the Phatletes and Geoff Kitchen and Nik Tesone of the Yetis all served time in the penalty box.

This hard-fought match was a testament to the incredible talent and determination of both teams. We look forward to the next ball hockey face-off!
