October 5, 2025 was an unforgettable day for ball hockey enthusiasts! The illustrious Brantford Royals – Ladies went head-to-head with the formidable ‘Back That Pass Up’ at the BHi Brantford 2 venue in a nail-biting encounter.
The game started with an electrifying atmosphere. Emily King from ‘Back That Pass Up’ opened the scoreboard with a wicked slapshot, assisted by the agile Sam Williams in the 9th minute of the first period. However, the Brantford Royals weren’t about to be outdone. Becca King, responded with a superb goal, assisted by Ashlee Allen at the 4th minute and 12 seconds.
The second period heralded more action! Amy Coates from the Royals scored a spectacular goal, with Lana Barkman lending a helping hand at the 8th minute and 50 seconds. Not to be left behind, Becca King struck again, netting another goal for the Royals at the 2nd minute and 34 seconds. This period wasn’t without drama, though. Sylvia Sgrignioli Gibbs from the Royals was penalized for two minutes due to a hooking infraction.
The third period saw the Royals further solidify their dominance. Kaitlyn Barkman, with an assist from Maddelyne Vicano, scored at the 5th minute and 17 seconds, cementing the Brantford Royals’ victory.
The final whistle echoed the victorious roars of the Brantford Royals – Ladies. It was an exhilarating encounter, with both teams displaying amazing skill and sportsmanship. The Royals managed to outshoot ‘Back That Pass Up’, taking 15 shots on goal compared to their opponents’ 10. A memorable day for the Royals, indeed!
