In a thrilling match-up on August 15th, 2025, Team Stoke showed their amazing talent and teamwork by snatching a victory against the Friday Knights at the BHi Brantford 1 venue.
The game gave the spectators, both young and old, something to cheer about, with both teams showing off their skills and strategy. However, it was Team Stoke that came out on top, with Jocelyne Larocque scoring the first goal of the game in the second period. Amy Coates was quick to assist Larocque, setting up the goal beautifully. However, the Friday Knights were quick to retaliate. Jacob Woods, with an assist from Jaxon Bennett, put the Knights on the scoreboard with a goal scored only twenty-one seconds later!
As the game progressed, the competition became even more intense. In the third period, Amy Coates, who had assisted earlier, stepped up to score another goal for Team Stoke. This time, Becca King was the mastermind behind the assist, reinforcing Team Stoke’s lead in the game.
There were also a couple of penalty shots during the game. Brett Bowman from the Friday Knights was penalized for HKG in the second period, and Dustin VanEvery was penalized for BODY in the third period. Despite these setbacks, the Knights fought valiantly, keeping the spectators on the edge of their seats.
Overall, it was a thrilling game with an array of spectacular goals and a showcase of brilliant teamwork. Team Stoke emerged as the proud winners, celebrating their well-earned victory.
