On the evening of September 26, 2025, fans were treated to a thrilling ball hockey game at BHi Brantford 1. The Nips n’ Tips faced off against Rapid Decline in a match that was packed with excitement and tension.
From the first drop of the ball, Nips n’ Tips took control. Leyton Johnston, with the assist from Brittany Fazekas and Default Player, scored the first goal just five minutes into the first period. Johnston was unstoppable, scoring yet again in the second period, this time with help from Connor Maclean.
However, Rapid Decline didn’t back down. Tyler Zatylny, assisted by Seth Verrips, found the net early in the third period, providing hope for their team. But Nips n’ Tips were on a roll. Default Player, assisted by Brittany Fazekas, extended their lead, followed by a quick-fire goal from Brittany Fazekas herself, courtesy of assists from Jenn Boutilier and Andrew Maclean.
Andrew Maclean didn’t stop at assists only; he scored a goal himself, with Mason Boutilier and Jenn Boutilier setting him up perfectly. Rapid Decline’s Tyler Zatylny managed to score another goal towards the end, but it was too late for a comeback.
Even though the game also saw some penalties, with Mason Boutilier and Kyle Boutilier from Nips n’ Tips sitting out for a while, they managed to hold their ground and emerged victorious.
The final match was a fantastic demonstration of skill, strategy, and teamwork. The teams put on quite a show for the crowd, keeping them on the edge of their seats till the very end.
