On a delightful afternoon of February 15, 2026, the Woodman Park Community Centre was abuzz with anticipation as the highly awaited game between the Crusaders and the Jaguars took place. The Jaguars sealed the game with a victory, but not without putting up a fantastic fight that had the spectators on the edge of their seats!
The game kicked off with a quick goal by Ryan Webb of the Jaguars, followed by a successful strike from Kaitlyn Barkman. However, the Crusaders fought back bravely, with Hridhaan Balothia scoring their first goal. A splendid display of teamwork and persistence was seen throughout the game, with each side battling fiercely and refusing to back down.
The Jaguars kept their momentum going with another goal from Keighan Gifford and two impressive goals from the dynamic duo, Lana Barkman and Ryan Webb. Ayaan Syed and Ethan Mackenzie of the Crusaders also managed to find the back of the net, proving that they were indeed a force to be reckoned with.
The second period was equally thrilling, with both teams fighting tooth and nail. Lana Barkman and Ryan Webb continued their scoring spree for the Jaguars, but the Crusaders retaliated strongly with Ayaan scoring his second goal and Ethan Mackenzie also chipping in. Despite the Crusaders’ brave effort, the Jaguars managed to fend off their advances and keep their lead.
However, the game wasn’t without its share of penalties. Lana Barkman of the Jaguars had to sit out for two minutes in the first period, and Ryan Webb also received a two-minute penalty in the second period.
Personifying sportsmanship and team spirit, the match was a celebration of youth hockey. While the Jaguars emerged as the winners, the Crusaders garnered equal admiration for their never-give-up attitude.
