On the evening of October 22, 2025, the Hornets and Huskies faced off in an incredibly intense ball hockey game at BHi Brantford 1. Momentum swung back and forth, but it was the Huskies who ultimately emerged victorious.
The match got off to an exhilarating start with Jaxon Bennett of the Hornets scoring the first goal. The Huskies quickly responded with Carter Gilchrist striking an even-handed goal, assisted by Zayden Knechtel.
As the second period commenced, the Huskies seized control of the game. Zayden Knechtel, who had assisted earlier, now turned scorer with two unassisted goals, showcasing his excellent skills and game sense.
The final period was a rollercoaster, with both teams showcasing their offensive prowess. The Hornets, not ready to back down, saw goals from Dean Bazylinsky and Reid Cole. Reid’s goal, assisted by Lincoln Aitchison and Pia Pinto, demonstrated the Hornets’ fantastic teamwork.
But the Huskies had their share of the spotlight, too. Carter Gilchrist and Zayden Knechtel, the dynamic duo, both found the back of the net, with Jaze Foster-Clarkson and Carter himself assisting Knechtel’s goal.
The last goal of the game came from Reid Cole of the Hornets, but it was too late to change the outcome. The Huskies, having led the charge, secured a well-deserved win.
A noteworthy mention is the lone penalty of the game, served by Reed Anderson of the Huskies in the third period for interference. This was a thrilling game with plenty of action and skill on display from both teams, much to the delight of the spectators. Well done to all players!
