The Woodman Park Community Centre was alive with excitement on the afternoon of February 1, 2026, as the Falcons faced off against the Stingrays in a thrilling ball hockey game. The Falcons ultimately emerged victorious, showing exceptional teamwork and sportsmanship.
The game started with the Falcons taking an early lead in the first period with a determined goal by Elijah Mathura. However, the Stingrays quickly responded with their own goal from Carson Hall evening up the score. But the Falcons were not deterred, they continued their assault on the Stingrays’ defense, scoring consecutive goals by Jackson Swayze, Mason Foden, Ben Milmine, and again by Elijah Mathura. The Falcons’ solid offensive performance was capped off with another goal by Mason Foden, making it his second of the day.
In response, the Stingrays tried to catch up, with Carson Hall making another marvelous attempt and scoring his second goal of the game. But it wasn’t enough to slow down the Falcons. They ended the first period with a goal from Jackson Swayze, his second for the day, and started the second period with goal by Lucien Michaud. Jackson Swayze, proving to be unstoppable, scored his third and final goal of the game in the second period, ensuring the Falcons’ victory.
The Falcons and the Stingrays both showed great effort and sportsmanship throughout the match, and it was a great day of ball hockey. Special mention goes to TimeKeeper Jake Carmichael and Ref Nico Carmichael for ensuring a fair and smooth game. The Falcons’ victory was truly a team effort, with an impressive number of goals scored by multiple team members. Their next opponent will surely have a tough game ahead!
