On October 19, 2025, the crowd at BHi Brantford 2 was treated to a thrilling contest of youth ball hockey. The Brantford Ball Crushers faced off against the home team, Just the Tip, in what turned out to be an action-packed game.
Right from the get-go, the Ball Crushers took control. In the first period, Joe Hughes opened the scoring with a beautiful goal assisted by Dillon Breen. Not long after, Breen himself netted the ball, further extending their lead. The teamwork of Hughes and Breen became the highlight of the game as they assisted Christopher Rowe in scoring the third goal of the period.
Breen continued his scoring spree in the second period with two more goals, including one assisted by Sam Overgauuw. Christopher Rowe and Sam Overgauuw also added their names to the score sheet, increasing the Ball Crushers’ lead.
Despite being down, Just the Tip did not give up. In the third period, Ryan Johnson, assisted by Ben Filer, managed to squeeze in a goal. However, the Ball Crushers were quick to respond with Derek Robertson scoring the final goal of the game, once again assisted by the star of the match, Dillon Breen.
The final score was 8-1 in favor of the Brantford Ball Crushers. The home team played valiantly, but the Ball Crushers were just too strong. On this day, the dynamic duo of Hughes and Breen proved to be unstoppable. Congratulations to the Brantford Ball Crushers for their well-deserved victory!
