The game started off with a bang with the Pigeons’ Will VanNieuwenhuizen scoring the first goal, assisted by Dylan Barsotta, just 9 minutes and 25 seconds into the first period. However, Curtis Anderson of the Royals returned the favor only 21 seconds later, and the match was on!
The Royals took control of the game with Preston VanEvery and Nate Maracle leading the charge. VanEvery played a pivotal role in the victory, scoring two goals and assisting in two others. Maracle also added two goals, finishing off an incredible game performance.
Tristan Barkman and Jaylee Martin-Henhawk added to the Royals’ domination with crucial assists that led to goals. The Pigeons put up a good fight, but the Royals dominated the game, leading in shots on goal by 21 to 15.
Referees Jeremiah Gerrard and Sean Gairns officiated the game, ensuring fair play and a great experience for all. Timekeeper Devon Harrington also did a fantastic job making sure every second was accurately accounted for.
While the Pigeons might not have come out on top this time, they showed great team spirit and resilience. We look forward to their next game and the exciting action it promises to bring. Stay tuned!
