What a game it was on the 11th of January, 2026, at the Woodman Park Community Centre! The Jaguars and the Crusaders locked horns in an epic match that will be remembered for a long time. The final whistle saw the Jaguars emerging victorious, proving once again their dominance on the field.
Right from the first period, the action was intense with goals flying in from both sides. Ryan Webb of the Jaguars was the star of the show, scoring a hat trick in the first period itself. Kaitlyn Barkman also added to the tally for the Jaguars. The Crusaders fought back valiantly with Oscar Bell and Hridhaan Balothia scoring two goals each, leaving the scoreline delicately poised after the first period.
The second period was equally competitive with both teams showing their scoring prowess. The Crusaders’ Hridhaan Balothia scored his third of the game while Oscar Bell, Ethan Mackenzie, Cameron Blagdon and Ayaan Syed also found the back of the net. The Jaguars, however, were not to be outdone. Kaylan Gifford-Emmett, Lana Barkman, Kherington Gifford, and Johnathan Jantzi, who scored twice, all contributed to the Jaguars’ cause.
Despite the Crusaders’ Ayaan Syed serving a penalty in the second period, it was a clean game showcasing some fantastic ball hockey. The Jaguars, with a higher shot count of 25 compared to the Crusaders’ 22, showed their offensive quality.
A special mention is due for our dedicated referees, Nico Carmichael and Nathan Feeney, the timekeeper, for ensuring a smooth and fair game. Congratulations to the Jaguars on their well-deserved win!
