January 11, 2026, was a day to remember at the Woodman Park Community Centre. The Dolphins and the Polar Bears clashed in a vibrant game of ball hockey that ended with a thrilling shootout victory for the Dolphins!
The first period was a scoring frenzy. The Dolphins’ Liam Torelli opened the game with two quick goals, but the Polar Bears swiftly responded with goals from Grayson Young and Mackenzie Bonney. Undeterred, Torelli completed his hat trick, only for Young to net his second goal of the period. It was a neck-and-neck battle with both teams tied at 3-3 after the first period.
The second period saw a similar back-and-forth dynamic. The Polar Bears’ River Galway netted the opening goal, but Dolphins’ Carter MacDonald responded with two goals of his own. Grayson Young for the Polar Bears and Hudsyn Hoskin managed to squeeze in goals between MacDonald’s hat trick, making the game even more exciting. At the end of the second period, the teams were knotted at 6-6.
In the end, it was the Dolphins’ Colby Oliver who stole the show. Oliver hit the winning goal in the shootout, securing a memorable victory for the Dolphins.
