On December 21, 2025, fans at the Woodman Park Community Centre were treated to a thrilling youth ball hockey match between the Polar Bears and the Dolphins.
In the first period, the action was electrifying with Grayson Young of the Polar Bears scoring the first two goals, showcasing his superb stick skills. However, the Dolphins roared back with Liam Torelli firing three consecutive goals in a mesmerizing display of determination and skill. Olivia Hebert and Carter MacDonald also added to the Dolphins lead with their sharp shooting, leaving the Polar Bears trailing behind.
The second half kicked off with the Polar Bears trying their best to claw their way back into the game. Grayson Young sunk another goal, bringing his tally to three. Hudsyn Hoskin also found the back of the net, giving the Polar Bears a glimmer of hope. But the Dolphins were unstoppable as Olivia Hebert and Carter MacDonald continued their scoring spree. Even Nolan Bevan’s 2-minute penalty couldn’t slow the Dolphins down, as Harrison Thorne sealed the win with the final goal of the game.
In the end, the Dolphins emerged as the clear winners, outshooting the Polar Bears 26 to 16. It was a display of teamwork, tenacity, and terrific sportsmanship.
Player of the match plaudits went to Liam Torelli for his hat-trick that turned the game around for the Dolphins. Grayson Young’s hat-trick for the Polar Bears was equally commendable. Despite the result, all players showed great spirit, making it a truly memorable game.
