What a sporting spectacle we witnessed on October 28, 2025, as the Falcons and the Flamingos faced off at BHi Brantford 2! The Falcons soared to victory after a nerve-wracking shootout, taking the game in an epic finale.
The Flamingos commenced the scoring spree in the first period, with Harrison Cole finding the net at 8:11. The Falcons retaliated in the second period, as Parker Hycza put one past the goalie, courtesy of a smooth assist from Jackson Swayze. Mason Plante and Ben Milmine also added to their teams’ scores, making it a 2-2 draw at the end of the second period.
The third period saw the teams go goal for goal. Jackson Swayze, Cienna Vicano, and Mason Plante all found the net for their respective teams. Despite a valiant effort by Cienna Vicano, who scored twice for the Flamingos, the Falcons held their nerves to take the game to a shootout with a winning goal from Laykn Thacker in the final minute.
In the end, it was the Falcons’ Carter Irwin who emerged as the hero of the day, scoring the decisive goal in the thrilling shootout. The final score: Falcons 6, Flamingos 5.
However, it wasn’t all smooth sailing for the Falcons. Parker Hycza, despite scoring and assisting, found himself in the sin bin, serving two minutes for tripping in the third period.
