What a thrilling night of action on October 10, 2025! The Last Resorts faced off against the feisty OPP team at the BHi Brantford 2 venue. Even though the Last Resorts put up a tough fight, the OPP managed to claim the victory.
The game started off with a tense and scoreless first period, but then, in the second period, Brock Staley of the OPP broke the silence with an even-strength goal at 8 minutes and 50 seconds. The crowd roared their approval as Staley demonstrated his incredible skill and finesse.
Then, in the third period, Tiago Alves added another goal for the OPP, assisted by Sharon Fecteau. Alves’ precise shot at 7 minutes and 57 seconds sent the puck flying into the net, bringing the score to 2-0 for the OPP.
Despite having more shots on goal (21 for the Last Resorts vs. 17 for the OPP), the Last Resorts were unable to convert their opportunities into points. Meanwhile, the OPP showcased their strong defensive game, successfully warding off the Last Resorts’ attacks.
The third period wasn’t without drama as Kaleb Fecteau of the OPP was slapped with a 2-minute penalty for holding. Despite being one player down, the OPP managed to maintain their lead, showcasing their superb teamwork and defensive prowess.
In the end, the OPP emerged victorious. Kudos to the referees, Dave Dean and Tom Picone, for their outstanding officiating, and also to timekeeper Max Dean for keeping things running smoothly. It was indeed a night to remember for both the players and the fans!
