On an exciting Sunday, October 5, 2025, The Smoke and Brantford Ball Crushers clashed in an action-packed youth ball hockey game at BHi Brantford 2. The Smoke, demonstrating their skill and determination, managed to secure a triumphant victory over their opponents.
The game kicked off with Tyson Hearn scoring the first goal for The Smoke just four minutes and four seconds into the first period, with the assist coming from Chase Plaus and Greg Prangley. This was quickly followed by a second goal by Nash Murphy, with an assist from Kevin Murphy, making it a thrilling start for The Smoke.
The second period saw Joe Scharbach add to The Smoke’s lead, with another goal assisted by Chase Plaus. The Smoke continued their dominance into the third period with Joe Scharbach scoring two more goals, making it a hat-trick for him. His goals were assisted by Jacob Deane, Greg Prangley, and Chase Plaus.
Despite the Brantford Ball Crushers’ best efforts, including 18 shots at the goal compared to The Smoke’s 13 shots, they were unable to score. John Keegan of the Crushers was penalized for tripping in the third period, which only added to their challenges.
