Excitement filled the air at BHi Brantford 1 on the evening of October 2, 2025, as a thrilling match unfolded between the Empire and the Titans that kept attendees on the edge of their seats. Empire made a momentous comeback to secure a definitive victory!
The game kicked off with an aggressive start from the Titans, as Tripp Balaga put them on the scoreboard just under two minutes into the first period, with assistance from Max Dean. It wasn’t until the second period that Empire’s Aiden Sioen, with a little help from Andre Greene and Jakob Lanteigne, evened the score. The Titans weren’t about to sit back, though, and Nolan Bevan shot home another goal, thanks to a setup from Oscar Bell and Zane Rook, putting the Titans back in the lead.
However, the Empire team came out of halftime breathing fire. Andre Greene and Aiden Sioen led the charge, each scoring in the third period to turn the tide of the game. With only two minutes and forty seconds remaining, Andre Greene, assisted by Cameron Blagdon, solidified the Empire’s lead with a final goal, defying all expectations and leading Empire to a thrilling victory!
Despite the valiant efforts by the Titans, key penalties against Aiden Armstrong and Oscar Bell in the first period, and Violet Staats in the third period, provided the opportunity that Empire needed to control the game. The Empire team also kept their defense strong, warding off a higher number of shots on goal from the Titans.
A special mention must go to the star players of the match – Tripp Balaga, Aiden Sioen, and Andre Greene, whose stunning performances kept spectators dazzled throughout the evening. Both teams displayed excellent skill and sportsmanship, making this a game to remember. We can’t wait to see what the rest of the season brings us in this exciting youth ball hockey league!
