On the afternoon of October 1, 2025, the crowd at BHi Brantford 2 was buzzing with energy. The Mustangs and the Dolphins put on a thrilling show of skill and determination in a game that had everyone on the edge of their seats.
The game started off with a rapid exchange of goals. Maverick Stewart of the Dolphins scored first, with an assist from Brayson Longboat. Not to be outdone, Mason Cutmore from the Mustangs returned the favor, scoring twice in quick succession. Hayden Mitchell of the Dolphins then stepped up and evened the score by the end of the first period.
The second period was where the Dolphins took control. Hayden Mitchell, on fire from his goal in the first period, scored twice more, both times with assists from Carter Hamilton. An additional assist from Keighan Gifford on the second goal was the cherry on top.
The third period saw a flurry of activity with five goals in total. Maverick Stewart and Brayson Longboat, the dynamic duo from the Dolphins, combined again for a goal, with an added assist from Gabriel Greene. Brayson Longboat then showed his prowess with back-to-back goals, one with an assist from Hayden Mitchell. Not to be forgotten, the Mustangs showed their spirit with Lucas Rocha and Mason Cutmore each scoring a goal, with an assist from Sebastian Dougherty on Rocha’s goal.
Despite the Mustangs’ efforts, the game ended in a win for the Dolphins. A special shout-out to our star players Maverick Stewart, Brayson Longboat, and Hayden Mitchell who were instrumental in leading the Dolphins to victory!
The game was not without its share of penalties, with Lucas Rocha and Carter Speers from the Mustangs and Caiya Boissonneault from the dolphins each spending some time in the penalty box.
This was a ball hockey game to remember and we can’t wait to see what these teams bring to the table in their next encounter!
