In a rollercoaster of roller hockey action that took place on September 15, 2025, the Trash Pandas emerged as the triumphant victors against The Thundercocks.
The game kicked off with a bang as Owen Blank, assisted by James Colwell and Ryan Calbeck, scored the first goal for the Trash Pandas just 9 minutes into the first period. Soon after, Jordan Kats and Josh Purdy also found the net, assisted by Lucas Johnston. Jake Dawson, assisted by Owen Blank, closed the period with a fourth goal, leaving the audience on the edge of their seats.
The second period saw no respite for The Thundercocks, as James Colwell, Lucas Johnston, and Ryan Calbeck all scored goals for the Pandas. The assists from Lucas Johnston, Jake Dawson, and James Colwell helped secure their team’s lead. Before the buzzer, Josh Purdy scored his second goal, assisted by Jordan Kats.
The final period was a showcase of the Pandas’ teamwork and tactical play. Connor Mackinnon, with assists from Lucas Johnston and Jordan Kats, scored the first period’s goal. Lucas Johnston, followed by Josh Purdy, then showed off their scoring prowess, each scoring a goal with assists from James Colwell.
Despite The Thundercocks’ valiant efforts, they were unable to break through the Trash Pandas’ impenetrable defence and proficient goalkeeping. The game ultimately ended in a vibrant victory for the Trash Pandas.
