August 29, 2025 – In a heart-stopping contest at BHi Brantford 2, the Broncos overcame the OPP in a nail-biting semi-final match.
The game kicked off under the watchful eyes of referees Tom Picone and Dino LaPorta, with the timekeeper, Connor Maclean, ensuring a fair play. The crowd was electric, and the players were raring to go.
The first goal of the game came in the second period with Travis Staats of the Broncos striking an ‘Even Strength’ goal, assisted by Nash Kramer and Trinity Teeple. This brought the Broncos ahead, much to the excitement of their loyal fans.
Not one to back down, the OPP retaliated in the third period when Tiago Alves scored an ‘Even Strength’ goal, brilliantly assisted by Kaleb Fecteau, tying the score and keeping the OPP’s hopes alive.
However, the Broncos weren’t done just yet. In the fifth period, Nash Kramer, previously an assister, turned into a scorer with an ‘Even Strength’ goal, assisted by Nathan Feeney. This goal clinched the game for the Broncos, marking their entry into the finals.
Despite being outshot 26 to 14, the Broncos’ fantastic defensive play and efficient scoring proved decisive in this thrilling match-up. Their victory shows that it’s not always about how many shots you take, but how many you make!
