Big Stick Bandits Steal the Show in Thrilling Championship Opener!

The thrilling youth ball hockey match between the Coyotes and the Big Stick Bandits on August 26, 2025, was one for the books! In the opening game of the best-of-three championship at BHi Brantford 1, the Big Stick Bandits stole the show.

The third period saw all the action unfold. Connor Maclean of the Coyotes kicked off the scoring spree with an even strength goal, assisted by Nate Lawrence and Travis Staats. However, the Big Stick Bandits quickly took control of the game. Brady Macovi scored an even strength goal five minutes in, with Liam McCall assisting, to level the score.

With the game heating up, Parker Herriot of the Big Stick Bandits took center stage. Herriot scored two spectacular goals, eight minutes in and then right at the death, sealing the deal for the Bandits. His first goal was also gracefully assisted by Liam McCall.

The goalies showcased their skills with a total of 40 shots recorded on the goal, 19 by the Coyotes and 21 by the Big Stick Bandits. The game concluded with a well-deserved win for the Big Stick Bandits, setting the stage for an exciting continuation of the championship.
