On the evening of August 21, 2025, the arena of BHi Brantford 2 was buzzing with anticipation as the All Swedish No Finish team squared off against the STG Sabres in a tiebreaker game. It was the best 2 out of 3, the final face-off to determine the winner, and the Sabres went home victorious!
The first period went scoreless, each team testing the defenses and trying to find a way through. But the silence on the scoreboard was shattered in the second period, when Ryan O’Keefe from the Sabres found the back of the net, thanks to an assist from Noah Girling. Just a minute later, Girling himself scored a goal, with O’Keefe returning the favor with an assist. The duo was on fire, and as if to prove it, Girling scored again before the end of the period, this time assisted by James Deane and Josh Rich.
Entering the third period with a comfortable lead, the Sabres continued their offensive onslaught. Eli Bastien, assisted by Deane and Girling, added another goal to their tally. The final blow was dealt by Ben Cripps, with an assist from Dalton Kipp, cementing the Sabres’ victory.
The pace of the game was fast and furious. The Sabres took 20 shots at the goal and All Swedish No Finish took 18. Despite the defeat, All Swedish No Finish showed great spirit and fought valiantly till the end.
Congratulations to the STG Sabres for their well-deserved win and for showing us what team spirit and dedication look like. We look forward to more exciting games in the future!
