On a thrilling summer evening of August 21, 2025, the hockey rink at BHi Brantford 1 came alive with an exciting face-off between the Vipers and Scorpions. The game was a roller coaster of skill, strategy, and pure adrenaline!
The Vipers proved their mettle against the Scorpions, emerging as the victors in this Round Robin third versus fifth showdown. The game started with a bang as the Vipers’ Samson Kisac, assisted by Harry Rossi and Hudsyn Hoskin, scored the first goal only 6 minutes and 35 seconds into the first period. Not letting up, Harry Rossi, with the help of Kaegan Rawson, scored another goal 4 minutes and 53 seconds into the game, displaying impressive teamwork.
The Scorpions weren’t about to be left behind, though! With less than two minutes left in the first period, Ryder Latendresse, assisted by Sophie Allen, pulled one back for the Scorpions, keeping their hopes alive.
The game continued to be a closely fought battle. The Vipers faced a minor setback when their player Liam Maracle was sent off for a two-minute penalty for slashing in the third period. However, they held their ground, thwarting any Scorpions’ attacks.
Fun fact of the game: the Vipers managed to outshoot the Scorpions 19-17, demonstrating their offensive prowess!
At the end of the day, the Vipers’ consistent performance and team play saw them secure a triumph over the Scorpions. The game concluded with a much-anticipated pizza party, adding a delicious cherry on top of an already memorable day.
