McCall Magic Leads Big Stick Bandits to Victory Over Shamrocks

August 19, 2025 was a day to remember for the Big Stick Bandits as they battled against the Shamrocks in a thrilling semi-final game at BHi Brantford 1. It was a gripping display of skill and teamwork that brought fans to their feet. This was the second game in the best-of-three series, and it did not disappoint.

The Shamrocks took an early lead. Brandon McCready, assisted by Chris Scott, slipped the ball past the Bandit’s goalie in the first period at the six-minute mark. This goal ignited the competitive flame in the Bandits, as they went on a scoring spree in the following periods.

The second period saw the emergence of a star. Liam McCall, of the Big Stick Bandits, scored twice, turning the tide of the game. His first goal came at the eight-minute mark, assisted by Talon Harrington. Not satisfied with just one, McCall found the back of the net again two minutes later, this time with the assistance of Matthew MacLean.

The third period was a repeat performance from the Bandits’ dynamic duo. McCall scored his third, securing a hat trick, again assisted by Harrington and MacLean. Not to be outdone, Harrington sealed the game with a goal of his own in the last seconds, assisted by MacLean.

Shots were nearly even, with the Shamrocks taking 18 shots and the Bandits taking 16. However, it was the Bandits’ incredible accuracy and immaculate teamwork that secured their victory.

In the end, the Big Stick Bandits came out on top, showing true resilience and a knack for turning things around when the pressure is on. The fans are thrilled and can’t wait to see what the Bandits will bring to the final game!
