In an electrifying ball hockey showdown on August 13, 2025, the Trash Pandas proved their mettle against the Unhealthy Scratches at the BHi Brantford 1 venue. Our furry heroes emerged victorious in the first game of the best 2 out of 3 series, setting the pace for an enthralling season.
The game began with a swift strike from Owen Blank of the Trash Pandas in the 6th minute of the first period. Despite a minor setback when Ryan St. Pierre was sent off for a penalty, the Trash Pandas maintained their lead throughout the game.
The third period was a flurry of excitement as the Pandas fired three more goals into the Scratches’ net. James Colwell, Cody Meadows, and Connor Mackinnon all found the back of the net, with notable assists from Owen Blank and Josh Purdy.
Overall, the Trash Pandas managed 18 shots, while the Scratches could only muster 21. The standout performances of the game were from Owen Blank, James Colwell, and Cody Meadows, who each played crucial roles in securing the Pandas’ victory.
