Friday night lights shone bright on the 10th of October, 2025 at the BHi Brantford 1 venue where the Trash Pandas emerged victorious over the Rapid Decline in a thrilling contest! Both teams fought hard, but the Pandas came out on top with their fantastic teamwork and powerful shots.
The game kicked off with a bang as Raine Hernden, assisted by Payten Willmets and Jenn Boutilier, scored the first goal for the Trash Pandas in the seventh minute of the first period. Rapid Decline’s Seth Verrips, assisted by Todd Alway and Jamie-Lee Sioen, hit back with a goal in the second period, keeping the game exciting.
However, the Trash Pandas didn’t let up. Brittany Fazekas, with assists from Kyle Boutilier and Jenn Boutilier, scored another goal. Not long after, Payten Willmets, assisted by Will VanNieuwenhuizen and Raine Hernden, added another one to the Pandas’ tally.
Rapid Decline tried to fight back, but a penalty by Todd Alway in the third period hampered their chances. The Pandas capitalized on the advantage, as Raine Hernden, assisted by Payten Willmets and Justen Pettipas, scored his second goal of the game, sealing the victory for the Trash Pandas.
Both teams put on a true spectacle, with each team taking 13 shots on goal. While the Rapid Decline fought hard, the Trash Pandas deserved the win with their tight passes, clean shots, and excellent teamwork. All in all, it was a night of thrilling ball hockey that those in attendance will not soon forget. Looking forward to more such exciting games in the future!
