On the night of August 14th, 2025, exhilaration filled the air at BHi Brantford 2 as the Shamrocks faced off against the Gretzky Griffins in an intense ball hockey showdown. In the end, the Shamrocks emerged victorious, underscoring their unwavering spirit and determination.
From the opening whistle, the energy on the rink was palpable. The first period saw Austin Scott of the Shamrocks put the first point on the board with a swift strike, thanks to a brilliant assist from Cody Summers. The Griffins fought fiercely, but couldn’t break through the Shamrock’s stalwart defence.
The Shamrocks continued their momentum into the second period with Cody Summers scoring an ‘even strength’ goal, assisted by Evgeny Myshkin. Despite the mounting pressure, the Griffins gallantly pushed back, with Bradie Harrington scoring their only goal in the third period, assisted by Ethan Doucette and Nolan Chartrand.
However, the Shamrocks were not to be outdone. Austin Scott and Cody Summers both scored unassisted goals in the third period, leading the Shamrocks to a thrilling victory. Despite a two-minute penalty for Cody Summers in the final period, the Shamrocks remained vigilant and held onto their lead.
The Shamrocks ended the game with 14 shots, while the Griffins had 10. The stars of the match were Austin Scott, Cody Summers, and Bradie Harrington, who all showed exceptional skill and determination.
