Thrilling Victory for Bulls in Youth Ball Hockey Showdown

On the sunny afternoon of October 4, 2025, the arena at BHi Brantford 2 was buzzing with excitement as the Bulls and Broncos clashed in a thrilling game of youth ball hockey. This high-energy match saw the Bulls ultimately taking the victory from the Broncos.

The opening period saw both teams come out strong, each with their eyes on the prize. The Bulls’ Brycen Buscombe landed the first goal with an assist from Xavier Mccalla, but the Broncos quickly retaliated with Carson Swayze finding the back of the net. The Broncos then took a brief lead with goals from Carter MacDonald and another from Swayze, again assisted by Tristan Barkman. Just before the buzzer, Jaxon King of the Bulls managed to even the score taking us into the second period with a tie.

The second period was a roller coaster ride! Brayden Barnett of the Bulls started off strong with a solo goal. However, the Broncos’ Tristan Barkman responded with two quick goals, one of them impressively assisted by Carson Swayze and Carter MacDonald. Yet before the period could close, Jaxon King of the Bulls managed to squeeze in another goal, keeping the Bulls in the game.

The final period was a testament to the Bulls’ tenacity. They fired on all cylinders with Xavier Mccalla, Kai Hadall-Brusse, Tristan Webb, and once again Mccalla scoring four goals consecutively, effectively sealing the game for their team. With no response from the Broncos, the Bulls emerged victorious.

A special call-out to the referees, Jeremiah Gerrard and Jaymz Easton, for their excellent job of officiating the game, and timekeeper Leyton Johnston for keeping things on track.

The game ended with a thrilling victory for the Bulls. These young players showed incredible sportsmanship and skill, making it a match to remember for both teams. We can’t wait to see what these talented players bring to the rink next time!
