Smoke Clears the Ice in Thrilling Victory over Yetis

On the morning of October 19, 2025, the ball hockey fans gathered at BHi Brantford 2 were treated to an exhilarating showdown between The Smoke and the Yetis. The Smoke proved too much to handle for the Yetis, with a barrage of goals that had the spectators on the edge of their seats.

From the onset, The Smoke set the pace with Nash Murphy, assisted by Ryan Crabb and Ethan Hooker, scoring a spectacular even-strength goal just 9 minutes and 15 seconds into the first period. Not satisfied with just one, Nash Murphy, with the help of Joe Scharbach and Kevin Murphy, found the back of the net again, increasing their lead.

The Yetis roared back in the second period, as Ian Blasdell, assisted by Chris Hague, scored a much-needed goal 3 minutes and 57 seconds in. Their joy was short-lived as The Smoke retaliated almost immediately, with Joe Scharbach, aided by Jacob Deane, adding another goal to their tally. Joe Scharbach wasn’t done, coming back with another goal within the same period, assisted by Greg Prangley and Tyson Hearn.

Despite a 2-minute penalty for Nash Murphy, The Smoke managed to hold their ground and secure their victory. The final whistle saw The Smoke celebrating their well-deserved win, leaving the ice smoking in their wake. This encounter served as a testament to The Smoke’s offensive prowess and left the Yetis with a lot to ponder for their next match-up.
