On the evening of August 8, 2025, the Brantford Royals – Pyear met the Friday Knights on the rinks of BHi Brantford 2, and boy, did they put on a show! The Royals took home the victory in a game that kept spectators on the edge of their seats.
The game started off with an impressive display of teamwork by the Royals. Connor Pyear, assisted by Adam Barkman, scored the first goal of the evening just under 9 minutes into the first period. But, the Knights were not to be outdone. Brett Bowman, assisted by Jocelyn General, shot an impressive goal, bringing the score to 1-1.
However, the Royals regained the lead when Curtis Anderson, assisted by Kaitlyn Barkman, scored an exciting goal. The first period ended with the Royals leading 2-1.
In the second period, Royals’ star player Connor Pyear once again showcased his scoring skills with an assist from Curtis Anderson and Adam Barkman. In a thrilling display of skill and precision, Jordan Precious, with assists from Tristan Barkman and Levi Precious, scored another goal for the Royals, taking the score to 4-1.
In the third and final period, Nate Maracle, assisted by Kaitlyn Barkman and Connor Pyear, scored the final goal of the game, securing the win for the Royals. Despite the Knights’ valiant efforts and a stellar performance by Brett Bowman, the Royals remained dominant.
