On February 8th, 2026, Brantford Royals – White and Brantford Royals – Gold clashed sticks at the Woodman Park Community Centre in a thrilling ball hockey encounter that had the spectators glued to their seats.
The first period was a roller coaster ride of emotions and goals. Gold struck first with Connor Pyear finding the back of the net at the 13-minute mark. But White quickly countered, with Keeghan Kellam putting his name on the score sheet. But just as quick as the White equalized, the Gold retook the lead with a strike from PJ Fulsom. The goal fest continued with Tristan Barkman from White and Nick Weeks from Gold each scoring two goals. The first period ended with Gold leading by one.
The second period was no less intense. Tristan Barkman of the White team managed a hat-trick but his efforts were matched by PJ Fulsom of the Gold team. Kaitlyn Barkman put the icing on the cake, scoring the final goal for the Gold team.
At the end of the day, it was the Brantford Royals – Gold who emerged victorious in this riveting matchup. Each goal was a testament to the skills and abilities of these young players. Despite the loss, the Brantford Royals – White put up a strong fight, showcasing their resilience until the last minute.
