On the evening of October 21, 2025, the Regina Hares showed off their skills in a rollicking game of ball hockey at the BHi Brantford 1, coming out on top against the NFG.
The Hares dominated the game from the start, with Jacob Stamp scoring the first goal just five and a half minutes into the first period, set up beautifully by Joel Vlietstra. Jacob Gaudet then did what he does best, scoring twice within just 33 seconds, with assists from Jarrett Cross and John Pongracz. With a shining solo effort, Owen Whitlow managed to get one back for NFG, but the Hares maintained their lead, closing the first period with scores by Mitchell Hartman and Lincoln Humphries.
The second period started off with another goal for the Hares, with Riley Eechaute scoring from a Lincoln Humphries and Jacob Stamp double assist. This was closely followed by a third goal from Jacob Gaudet, securing a hat trick for the night, and sealing the victory for the Hares.
Despite the tough competition, NFG showed great sportsmanship and determination throughout the game. The night had its share of penalties, but it was all part of the action-packed evening, with both teams giving their all.
The standout players of the night were Jacob Gaudet with his hat trick, and Lincoln Humphries and Joel Vlietstra with their remarkable assists. NFG’s Owen Whitlow also deserves a mention for his valiant effort. The game was officiated by Nico Carmichael and Dave Dean, with timekeeping duties handled by Max Dean.
The game ended in a victory for the Regina Hares, showing once again their strength and teamwork. We look forward to seeing more of these exciting matches in the future!
