On the night of October 23, 2025, the Regina Hares proved too much for The Thundercocks at BHi Brantford 2. The Hares put on an impressive offensive display, which led them to a decisive 7-0 victory. The Thundercocks, unfortunately, were unable to muster a response to the Hares’ onslaught.

The Hares started the first period strong with Jacob Gaudet scoring the opener, assisted by Lincoln Humphries. Andrew Basso and Lincoln Humphries soon followed suit, increasing the Hares’ lead with goals assisted by Riley Eechaute, Mitchell Hartman, and Joel Vlietstra. The first period ended with a swift goal from Jacob Stamp, assisted by Nathan Bonney, leaving the Hares four up and The Thundercocks struggling to find their footing.

Andrew Basso came back in the second period to further extend the Hares’ lead with another goal, again assisted by Nathan Bonney. The third period saw no respite for The Thundercocks as Skylar Groulx and Andrew Basso found the net, the latter completing his hat trick. Assists were credited to Nathan Bonney and Jacob Stamp, with additional support from Jarrett Cross.

Despite their best efforts, The Thundercocks had a tough time breaking through the Hares’ defense. They took seven shots on goal, yet none found their mark. In contrast, the Hares bombarded The Thundercocks’ goal with 23 shots, seven of which resulted in goals.

It was a clean, penalty-free game that truly showcased the Regina Hares’ offensive prowess. The Thundercocks showed great sportsmanship in taking the loss on the chin and will undoubtedly be looking for revenge in the next encounter. For the Hares, it’s another feather in their cap as they continue to stamp their authority on the season. Congratulations to the Regina Hares!
