On October 8th, 2025, an electrifying game took place between the Crank Lightning and Shamrocks at the BHi Brantford 2. The evening was filled with excitement, jaw-dropping shots and swift passing which ended in a thrilling victory for Crank Lightning.
The Lightning took control of the game early on with Tim Porter scoring the first goal just 6 minutes and 35 seconds into the game. Wes Whitlow put up a fantastic assist, demonstrating the team’s synergy.
The Lightning showed no signs of slowing down as Justin Metham netted another goal just minutes later, with Jordan Wonch and Alex Richardson lending their talents for the assist. To close out the first period, Tim Porter secured his second goal of the evening, assisted by Jordan Wonch and Josh Peixoto.
The second period saw a solo effort from Jordan Wonch who scored an unassisted goal, amplifying the lead for Crank Lightning.
But the Shamrocks were not ready to give up. In the third period, Brandon McCready put the Shamrocks on the scoreboard with a snipe, assisted by Brandon Jacusiw. Despite the goal from Shamrocks, the Lightning held strong and emerged victorious in the end.
Adding a bit of spice to the game, Rob Mackenzie of the Shamrocks and Tim Porter of Crank Lightning each spent two minutes in the penalty box in the first and third periods respectively, creating some tension on the rink. Tyler Greenway of the Shamrocks also found himself in the penalty box in the third period.
