Last Resorts Take Thrilling Victory in Semi-Finals

November 21, 2025, will forever be marked in the annals of the BHi Brantford 1 as the day ‘The Last Resorts’ defeated the ‘Pigeons’ in a thrilling semi-final showdown. The Last Resorts put on a ball hockey clinic, winning the game in style.

The Pigeons started strong, with Raine Hernden scoring the first goal of the game, ably assisted by Kyle Boutilier and Tripp Balaga. This was followed up by an equalizer from Dakota Powless of the Last Resorts, thanks to a beautiful setup by Joran Goddard. The Pigeons’ Jenn Boutilier, assisted by Raine Hernden and Kyle Boutilier, then managed to slip another goal past the Last Resorts’ defense, leaving the audience at the edge of their seats.

The second period kicked off with a quick goal from Ryan Johnson of the Last Resorts, setting the stage for the thrill of the third period. The Last Resorts’ Dakota Powless and Ryan Johnson both scored a goal, with a final goal from Dan Ludwig, assisted by Powless and Alanna Powless.

The iconic Dan Ludwig was handed two penalties, but the Last Resorts managed to hold their ground and maintain their lead. The final whistle blew with the Last Resorts taking home the victory and a ticket to the finals.
