On a thrilling evening at BHi Brantford 2 on August 11, 2025, the Hornets secured a thrilling victory in the first game of the ‘Best 2 out of 3’ series against Just the Tip.
The game started with an electrifying energy as both teams displayed their exceptional skills. The Hornets took an early lead with a goal from Kyle Burke, assisted by Trevor Martin. However, Brett Bowman of Just the Tip responded quickly, evening the score.
The first period saw more action as Trevor Martin of the Hornets and Jesse Jewson of Just the Tip each added a goal to their team’s tally. The second period belonged to Trevor Martin, as he scored twice for the Hornets, once with the help of Kaleb Fecteau, and once with Tristan Biggs and Kaidan Brightman assisting.
Despite some penalties in the third period, the Hornets held on to their lead, with Ethan Wagensveld spending some time in the penalty box.
When the final horn blew, it was the Hornets who emerged victorious, with a game filled with incredible goals and staunch defense. Trevor Martin, with his hat-trick and one assist, was undoubtedly the star of the game.
