Hawks Soar to Victory in Thrilling Shootout Against Eagles!

On the cool, sunny afternoon of October 11, 2025, at BHi Brantford 1, an exhilarating game of youth ball hockey took place. The two teams in the spotlight were the mighty Hawks and the competitive Eagles. The game had spectators on the edge of their seats right until the end, with a thrilling shootout finishing off the game in style!

In the first period, the Hawks took the lead as Donovan Newman, assisted by Jacob Marchment, scored an even strength goal at the six minute mark. The Eagles, however, did not let this dampen their spirits and came back strong in the third period. Dominic Raposeiro scored an unassisted goal for the Eagles, levelling the score and setting the stage for a gripping conclusion.

The tension was palpable as the game moved into a nail-biting shootout. Here, the star of the day, Carter Craig, stepped up for the Hawks and scored the decisive goal, securing a well-deserved victory for his team.

Despite their best efforts and an impressive ten shots on goal, the Eagles fell short. On the other hand, the Hawks made their 19 attempts count, delivering a performance to remember. The game ended with the Hawks soaring to victory, demonstrating their skill, strategy, and determination.

A big shout out to the referees of the day, Machaela Mathurin and Nico Carmichael, who ensured a fair and enjoyable game. Also, the timekeeping duties were aptly handled by Leyton Johnston.
