On the evening of September 16, 2025, the air was thick with excitement as the Flamingos and Dragons faced off at BHi Brantford 2. It was a thrilling game of ball hockey, with both teams showing incredible skill and sportsmanship.
The first period saw a flurry of goals, with Norah Carey and Elijah Mathura scoring for the Dragons. Harrison Cole, however, would not let the Flamingos be left behind, netting a pair of his own. Dragons’ Hunter Laurie also found the back of the net, making it a high-scoring first period.
The second period was marked by Harrison Cole’s completion of a hat trick, with Oliver Dougherty assisting on the goal. This put the Flamingos on even footing with the Dragons, setting the stage for a nail-biting final period.
In the third period, Mason Plante emerged as the hero for the Flamingos, scoring the tie-breaking goal. This would turn out to be the winning goal, as the Flamingos held on to win the game.
Despite the fierce competition, sportsmanship was the order of the day. The game saw a few penalties, with the Flamingos’ Mason Plante and Grayson Park and the Dragons’ Smith Shelley and Brendan Patla spending some time in the penalty box.
