August 23, 2025, was a day to remember for the Grizzlies and Coyotes as they clashed fiercely on the BHi Brantford 2 pitch in a thrilling ball hockey semi-final. The Grizzlies emerged victorious, but not without a ferocious fight from the Coyotes.
The game was electrifying from the start! The Grizzlies’ Tymon Vandersar, with his lightning-quick reflexes, scored the opening goal assisted by Seamus Pierce and Jared Biro. The Coyotes were quick to respond, as Gavin Marchbank, aided by William Bryce, evened the scoreboard. However, the Grizzlies kept their composure and went on a scoring spree, with goals from Colton Farrugia, Ayden Schieman, and Hudson Pierce, leaving the Coyotes scrambling to keep up.
The second period saw more action, with the Coyotes fighting back. Gavin Marchbank and Carson Swayze, assisted by William Bryce and Tristan Barkman, found the back of the net, narrowing the Grizzlies’ lead. However, the Grizzlies responded with another goal from Seamus Pierce to keep their edge.
The final period was a nail-biter! The Coyotes mounted a ferocious comeback, with goals from Samson Kisac and Carson Swayze, but fell short. Seamus Pierce, with an assist from Colton Farrugia, scored the final goal for the Grizzlies, securing a well-fought victory.
All in all, it was a fantastic game of ball hockey that showcased the talent, skill, and sportsmanship of both teams. Both the Grizzlies and Coyotes should be proud of their performance. We can’t wait to see what they bring next season!
